Artemisia Gentileschi Cat

 A paintress, born in Rome at the end of the sixteenth century highly gifted, nevertheless her greatness was not given proper recognition due to the fact that she was a woman. Luckily, her works have been preserved and we can enjoy them in full. A Meronian cat is the tribute offered by Michal to this artist. 

Pittrice nata a Roma alla fine del sedicesimo secolo. Per quanto dotata di un grande talento la sua grandezza non venne riconosciuta in quei tempi; essendo una pittrice e non un pittore. Fortunatamente i suoi lavori sono stati conservati ed oggi noi possiamo apprezzarli e godere lo stile drammatico che li careterizzano. Una gatta Meroniana e` l’omaggio che Michal dedica a questa artista.
